Number 3 is one of the most popular sizes with professional artists, because of its versatility. You can still get bold linework but also delicate drag and drops, teardrops and swirls, as well out outlining with thin thick thin stroke. They taper beautifully to a point on every stroke and are also perfect for dots. Size and numbering of rounds is pretty standard across the industry, so a number one should be very similar diameters no matter what the brand, however, the bristle length may vary slightly from brand to brand.
